Policies & Warranty
Prices
Otter Outdoor Sports, Inc. reserves the right to increase listed prices if our costs increase.
Freight
Otter Outdoor Sports, Inc. reserves the right to increase freight charges if our costs increase.
Damaged Shipments
For your protection, sign the shipping receipt only after you have inspected the motor and box. Report all damages on the packing slip. If damages are not indicated, the shipping company will not be responsible for damaged goods.
Merchandise Returns
Return authorization is required. Contact Joe Gravel in Customer Service (877-466-8837 or beavertail@otteroutdoors.com) and request an authorization number. No freight or restocking fee will be charged on returned goods found to be defective or not as ordered.
Engine Warranty
Otter Outdoor Sports, Inc. and its distributors are warranted only to the extent of the original manufacturer's warranties; Fisher Beavertail shall have no obligation with respect to any claims or obligations arising as a result of any such warranties. Honda and Briggs & Stratton carry a 2-year warranty on the power heads.
Frame and Assembly Warranty
Otter Outdoor Sports, Inc. and its distributors will warranty the frame of the mud motor for 3 years. We will replace or fix any part that is defective from the manufacturer at no cost to the customer.
All bearings drives will be under warranty for 2 years, including assemblies and bearings. Any manufacturer defects will be replaced or fixed at no cost to the consumer.
All props are warranted against cracking or breaking due to manufacturing defects. Props with excessive wear will not be under warranty.
Improper Care or Misuse
Otter Outdoor Sports, Inc. shall have no obligation hereunder in the event the goods have been modified by any other person or organization, or where the goods become defective in whole or in part as a result of improper installation, improper maintenance, improper use, abnormal operation or any other misuse or mistreatment of the goods.
